How to configure a certificate as default for Outlook?

Solution

1.  Open Microsoft Outlook
2.  From the top menu, click Tools > Options
3.  Select the Security tab
4.  Under Encrypted e-mail, click Settings
5.  Under Security Setting Name, select the appropriate security profile name
6.  Select the checkbox for Default Security Setting for this cryptographic message format and Default Security Setting for all cryptographic messages
