How do I replace a certificate via GeoTrust Enterprise Security Center

Problem

Replace or Reissue certificate

Solution

To replace a SSL certificate in a GeoTrust Enterprise Security Center account, perform the following steps:

  1. Log into the GeoTrust Enterprise Security Center account.
  2. Click SSL Certificates Tab
  3. Within the list of certificates, click the Certificate entry that needs to be replaced
  4. Scroll down
  5. Under Status tab, Click Replace this Certificate


     
  6. Review Certificate Information and make sure this is the correct certificate
  7. Select Reason for replacing this certificate


     
  8. Review and check off the box for understanding the terms
  9. Click Continue
  10. Choose Server Platform, enter new Certificate Signing Request (CSR) (must match original certificate Distinguished Name details), and click Continue
  11. Accept Terms and Conditions, then Submit

Note: If your SSL certificate contains any Subject Alternative Names (SANs), please note the following:

  • Any or all of the existing SAN values can be changed
  • The quantity of existing SANs can be increased but not decreased
