Error: "SSL Error 59: The server sent a security certificate identifying...:"
SSL Error 59 is displayed when trying to launch an application after SSL certificate installed.
Unable to launch your application. Contact your help desk with the following information: Cannot connect to the Citrix XenApp server. SSL Error 59: The server sent a security certificate identifying “xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx”, the SSL connection was to “yourdomain.com"
This issue occurs when using a Subject Alternate Name (SAN) SSL certificate and where the hostname in your URL of the Citrix server does not match the primary common name on the SSL certificate, but listed as a subject alternative name.
Citrix will not read SAN information from the certificate and as a result, when launching an application from Xenapp, it will compare the SSL certificate primary common name with the hostname of the URL.
This issue is known to Citrix https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX124646
Obtain an SSL certificate in the name of your Citrix Xenapp service URL hostname.
Otherwise, if a SSL SAN certificate is preferred, make sure to set the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) of the Citrix server as primary common name.
