Managed PKI for SSL - How to download an SSL certificate using Subscriber Enrollment Services page?

Solution

To download an SSL certificate using the Subscriber Enrollment Services page, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the Enrollment Services URL provided by your Managed PKI for SSL Administrator
  2. From the Enrollment Services page, click Search
  3. Search either by Email Address or Common Name
  4. From the list, click the valid certificate to download
  5. Click Download
  6. Two formats are available for download; PKCS#7 or the x.509 (PKCS#10)
    1. PKCS#7 - For use with Microsoft Servers, includes the required Intermediate CA(s) certificates
    2. X.509 - For use with All other platforms, includes only the SSL certificate
       
  7. Copy the certificate text including the -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- through -----END CERTIFICATE-----
  8. Open a plain text editor such as Notepad or Vi
  9. Paste the copied file into the editor
    NOTE: Be sure not to include any blank or trailing spaces
     
  10. Save the file depending on the server requirements with one of the following file extensions :
    1. PKCS#7 - certname.p7b  or certname.txt
    2. X.509 - certname.cer, certname.crt, certname.pem or certname.txt 

          NOTE:  If you do not have access to the Enrollment Services URL, please contact your Managed PKI for SSL administrator
          for assistance.
