To troubleshoot this error, perform the following steps:
Please review each of the possible causes below and their fixes to troubleshoot this error:
- The incorrect alias was specified while trying to import the certificate. The certificate must be imported using the KeyEntry or PrivateKeyEntry alias that was used to generate the CSR. Please click here for more infmoration on resolving the error.
- The Certificate being imported is improperly formatted. The certificate file can not have additional blank spaces or lines within the file. Please click here for more information on resolving the error.
- The Certificate is imported into the incorrect keystore. If the keystore containing the private key is lost, a new keystore will need to be generated and the certificate reissued. Please click here for more infomration on the process.
- The Certificate was downloaded in PKCS#7 format. Follow these steps to download the certificate in X509 format. Download RapidSSL from User Portal
