How to edit bindings for IIS 7 on Windows Server 2008


To edit bindings for IIS 7.0 on Windows Server 2008 perform the following steps:

  1. In the IIS Manager right click on the Web site. Click Edit Bindings.

  2. In the Site Bindings window, click Add, to add a new https binding or click Edit to modify an existing https binding

  3. Enter the appropriate settings for the SSL certificate.
    • Type = https.
    • IP address = Enter the IP address for the site or select All Unassigned.
    • Port = This is the port that will be used for SSL (443 is the default).
    • SSL Certificate = Select the appropriate SSL certificate from the list. Use the View button to see details to ensure the proper certificate is selected.
    • Click Ok.
