Error: "310b" when enrolling or renewing a certificate

Scenario

When trying to enroll for or renew a certificate, you may receive the following error message:

errors.310b Cannot enroll for certificate

Cause

This problem occurs when one of the following conditions is true:

  • The certificate unit count has reached zero
  • The account has expired
 

Solution

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods:

Method 1:  MSSL

Managed PKI for SSL administrators can order additional certificates to add to their MSSL account.  For more information, contact DigiCert PKI Support

Method 2:  PKI 7 Customers

1.  Go to https://onsite-admin.verisign.com for Production accounts or https://pilotonsite-admin.verisign.com for Pilot accounts
2.  On the bottom left-hand corner, it will state Service Expiration.  If the Service Expiration is exceeded, renew the Managed PKI account at https://onsite.verisign.com  for Production accounts or https://pilotonsite.verisign.com for Pilot accounts.  Under Managed PKI, click Renew PKI 7 Service
