Description

This communication contains information regarding RA Certificate Validity changes for DigiCert PKI Platform. Please review the information below for actions required to help minimize business interruptions.

WHAT HAPPENNED?

On February 7th, 2020, we reduced the RA Certificate for Private CA accounts from 3 years validity to 2 years. This RA Certificate is for Web Service API authentication and no functionality changes have been made. When we are ready, we will revert back to RA Certificates with 3 year validity.

There are no changes to the Public account RA Certificate, that is currently valid for 4 years .

HOW DOES THIS AFFECT YOU?

If your organization does not use Web Service API for DigiCert PKI Platform, you are not affected by this change. No further action is required.

If your organization uses Web Service API and it is Public Account, you are not affected by this change. No further action is required.

If your organization uses Web Service API and is a Private Account, currently your RA certificate issued from the “Rudimentary MPKI Registration Authority”, your next RA Certificate may have 2 years validity. Please take note that you need to renew within 2 years.

COULD THE PLANS CHANGE?

If significant changes are to occur, we will inform you as soon as possible.
